Doesn't anyone think that JW could be abused in prison? I mean, including sexual abuse? His 10 years in prison are only summarized in 1 episode, there are too many gaps that can be exploited during this time.

In the first scene where he was abused, that guy patted his cheek and forced him to pick up rice from the ground to eat. And JW, scared and rigid, did as he said. In another scene, he had to hide in the bathroom, hug his knees, curl up like a child, and beg as he was dragged out. Another scene after he bites off that guy's ear, they fight in the bathroom, JW is kicking one guy while being held behind by another guy. I mean, they attacked JW while he was taking a shower. I don't remember much, but it seemed like quite a while until JW's father passed away. The physical and mental torment must have caused him to cut his wrists afterward (he even smiled a little before falling down T_T). JW was bullied for a long time until he got desperate, went crazy and fought back.

One of my personalities likes to see my baby being soothed, comforted, held in my arms. And my other personality wants to see him tortured, abused, and hurt. I feel like an evil stepmother *cough*

Well From what I understand, most of us in the fandom believe that Jeongwoo likely faced SA while in prison.

Considering how the other inmates targeted him, it seems possible that things went further.

He was a defenseless 19 year old, convicted of killing two high school girls and not cooperating with the police, which probably made him seem as an arrogant, heartless murderer in their eyes that acts all innocent.

From what I know about prison dynamics from the true crime documents I’ve read my whole life, men who are imprisoned often act superior to those convicted of crimes they consider worse, like murder, even if they themselves have committed serious offenses.

Imagining how difficult it must have been for Jeongwoo to endure this before attempting suicide is heartbreaking. We saw the signs; his trembling hands, the fearful look in his eyes, and his battered face during Nagyeom’s visits.

He would try to hide from those men, but they always managed to find him alone, attacking him while he begged them to stop.

His innocence always hits me hard when I watch the first episode, but it’s also compelling to consider what he might have gone through in that place.

At this point we’re all some psychos gathered together to torture Jeongwoo and then hold him close to comfort our beloved boy haha!

My headcanon is that SCJW's first time having sex didn't go well. JW's sexual experiences with men were all violent and painful, while his first time with SC was very comfortable, caring, and soft. The problem was that his memories, emotions, and body reacted differently but were mixed together. The comfort and painful memories happening at the same time overloaded him. If SC compliments JW on being beautiful, it may remind JW of similar words he received in prison. And even though his mind told him that they weren't the same, his memory and his body still reflexively denied it. Their first time would end with JW panicking, hyperventilating, even vomiting, and falling asleep in SC's arms. JW will feel guilty about it while SC will only worry about him and say they will try again next time. It will probably take them a lot of time to untangle their minds and be honest with each other. It's a sin but I want to see them struggle to be able to love and make love with each other *slap*

This is actually one of the first things I noted in my idea list for this ship but I couldn’t bring myself to write the painful first time for them 🥲

His first experience with men had been violent, and over time, things only grew worse. I imagine that when he and Sangcheol try to share their first intimate moment, those painful memories would resurface, flashing vividly in his mind, maybe even haunting him as hallucinations.

He might see his past abusers in place of Sangcheol, his body instinctively recoiling despite Sangcheol's gentle touch. His body remembers the harsh, ruthless handling it endured, making it difficult to accept the softness being offered now. Though Sangcheol would immediately stop and do his best to comfort him with soothing words, he would still be overwhelmed by guilt and inadequacy, feeling as though he'd lost the chance to experience a normal, loving relationship.

My poor boy has gone through so so much 😭🫂🫂
